Getting To Camden Market

Address

32 Camden Lock Pl, London NW1 8AL, United Kingdom

By Tube

If you are travelling by tube, the nearest stations are Camden Town (~ 2-minute walk from the Inverness and Buck Street Markets), Chalk Farm (~ 5-minute walk from the Stables Markets) Kentish Town (~ 11-minute walk from Camden Lock Market), or Mornington Crescent (next to The Regent's Canal).

By Bus

If you are travelling by bus, you can reach the Camden Markets via routes 24, 29, and 134 (from London's West End).

By Train

If you are travelling by train, the nearest station is St. Pancras (~24-minute walk away).

By Car

If you are travelling by car, you can find car parks at St. Pancras Station or near The Regent's Park. Be aware that parking on the street near the Camden markets can be a complete and utter disaster, so I generally discourage this idea.

What to Expect

Camden Market is a sprawling collection of shops, stalls, and vendors offering everything from vintage clothing and accessories to unique gifts and artisanal food. The market is open seven days a week and is always bustling with activity, especially on the weekends.

Tips for Exploring

  • Wear Comfortable Shoes: With so much ground to cover, you'll want to wear comfortable shoes that can handle a lot of walking.

  • Bring Cash: While many vendors do accept credit cards, it's always a good idea to have cash on hand, as some vendors may only accept cash.

  • Sample the Street Food: Camden Market is known for its incredible street food, so be sure to sample some of the local specialties while you're there.

  • Take Your Time: With so much to see and do, it's easy to feel overwhelmed at Camden Market. Take your time and enjoy the experience at your own pace.

Highlights of Camden Market

No doubt about it – there’s a lot to see and do at Camden Market. Here are some of my favourites:

  • Cyberdog: This futuristic clothing and accessories store is a must-visit for anyone looking for something truly unique. From glow-in-the-dark t-shirts to LED glasses, Cyberdog has it all.

  • The Cheese Bar: If you're a cheese lover, you can't miss The Cheese Bar at Camden Market. This cheese shop and restaurant offers a mouth-watering selection of artisanal cheeses from around the world.

  • Voodoo Ray's: For a quick and delicious bite to eat, stop by Voodoo Ray's for a slice of their famous New York-style pizza.

  • Stables Market: The Stables Market is a massive indoor market featuring over 700 stalls selling everything from vintage clothing to handmade crafts.

  • Cereal Killer: No matter how old you are, I still consider cereal a legitimate meal. Cereal Killer Cafe will transfer you back to the 90s at this cereal bar.

  • Cronuts: What happens when a croissant and a doughnut join forces? We get the cronut! Be sure to grab yourself a cronut while wandering around Camden Market.

  • Amy Winehouse Statue: Located in the Stables Market in Camden Town, a bronze Amy Winehouse statue stands pretty in the neighborhood where Winehouse lived before her death.

Camden Market is truly a one-of-a-kind destination, and no trip to London is complete without a visit. With so much to see and do, it's easy to get lost in the excitement of this bustling marketplace. So put on your walking shoes, bring some cash, and get ready to explore everything Camden Market has to offer.
